Hampshire's Fletcha Middleton scored his maiden century on Australian soil when he made 103 for his adopted Melbourne club Fitzroy-Doncaster's 50-run victory over Northcote in the Victoria Premier League at the Bill Lawry Oval.
The 21-year old made 103, including a six and 13 fours, as F-D made 207-5 off 50 overs. He later took a catch as Northhcote were dismissed for 157.
Portsmouth's Fraser Hay continued his fine early season form, following up a half-century with a five-wicket haul, but Melville were pipped by one wicket by WACA Premier Division rivals Joondalup in Perth.
